Canada Post introduces new state-of-the-art parcel sorting facility
Canada Post today unveiled its new leading-edge zero-carbon parcel sorting facility that will have the capacity to process more than one million packages a day. The Albert Jackson Processing Centre will be a key hub for the company’s national network and improve service for Canadians when it officially opens in early 2023.

Canada Post issues a stamp honouring Albert Jackson, thought to be the first Black letter carrier in Canada. Jackson earned his appointment to the civil service in 1882, but faced racism from his colleagues, media and members of the public as he pursued what ultimately turned out to be a successful 36-year career with the postal service.
